If only modern Final Fantasy games held a candle to you substance wise. After nearly finishing my Blitz from Tales of Xillia, Xillia 2, Hearts, Zestiria, and the recently released Berseria. Every one of them impressed me more than Final Fantasy 15 (outside of graphics). Even got my eyeballs a little damp a few times during the stories. It's removing a layer of optimism about the anticipation for the Final Fantasy 7 remake.
I've never played the Tales Of series And i never played it, i guess this series really impressed you, are you going to put the Tales Of series into your RA Legends Series? Its out of the question but it's worth asking

The series has always impressed me, been around in US since like 2000'ish. With Tales of Destiny. They're all just nice solid RPG's, with real time combat sorta like 2D Street Fighter (older titles) or Soul Calibur (newer titles), with nice 50+ hour stories, enjoyable character's, colorful worlds, etc. Just all around good stuff, so after romping around FF15 and feeling like something was missing, found it in the Tales games. Which also set off the worry about FF7's remake, since seems like Square-enix is turning main line FF series more into some mutant love child of Devil May Cry merged with Call of Duty, but not quite as good (outside of graphics).
I've played a couple tales games on the ds and I finished tales of hearts, as well as the remake for the vita. They're pretty good games. I can't say much about FF15 since I haven't played it, but my hunch is that it falls into modern gaming traps. I'm not that interested in most AAA games these days.
