Update Stuff =========================== - Kz10's stage is done and up. - Dino Tank Blue is in Kz10's stage. - Volley Bear v1.0 is up. Right now it's just you and the net. Press the 'attack' button to hit the ball over the net harder. Press 'pause' to reset the ball. Right-click and select rewind then play to restart the game.

Nice job with the bear. But I think you once again forgot to recalibrate the new Dino Tank's rate of fire: just like the other two did before being debugged, they spit sparks like crazy! Okay, so the red tank spat lava & the normal one just shot plasma, but it's still the same psychopathic reload bug as before.
Wait a sec...
Okay, never mind. It stopped firing for over 3 seconds. You mangaged to get it this time, Wade.

Volleybear is fun. ;D It would be funnier with an opponent. Jazz is your choice for this one. She jump the highest.

Can't wait for Volley Bear to have an opponent.
The Dino Tanks have always been fine. They'll fire a lot, but they always have breather time. Besides, it's not a problem with a shield. Unless... the Red one fires 7 in one stream. That one hurt...
KZ10's stage is uber fun. More comments to come later when I'm not rushed.

KZ's stage is fun, but annoyingly hard.
i think that you should give the bear in VB the "angry ball" thing, complete with exaggerated recoil when you get shot.
also, i would like it better if you had your dash, attacks and specials. basically, give you the ability of shooting the ball.

Nobody SHOOTS the ball in a volley ball game! Geezers... what's wrong with you?!
Hm... I wonder if there's something special in that one room in KZ10's second section where the floor is solid except for a small bridge-like thing...

I like the shooting idea, and if you say that nobody shoots the ball in a game of volleyball, well, there are no self-aware robots anound either, and you don't have a problem with that.

- There's going to be some kind of attack power in Volleybear to balance those who aren't quick. So Shin and Cyan may be more agile, but Roll and Tami'll hit the ball more effectively. - I'm having debating on the Volleybear opponent. I originally wanted to have it randomly be one of the other girls, but for the sake of programming I may put in a different opponent. - Originally I was going to let the characters use their attacks to bounce the ball, but decided that it would be a bit to much chaos going on. Sort of like a Battle Pong game I made in 9th grade.
=========================
GM: The dino tanks AI is random for when they shoot. Basically there's a 2% chance when they are riding to decide to unload. Which results in an occasional stream of bullets or a peaceful moment.
SM: Small bridgelike thing in Kz10's 2nd Section??? *Boggles*

Battle Pong? That actually sounds kinda neat. You might wanna put that in your site's Games Section.
Dino Tanks: Okay, now that makes sense.
<I would, but it was programmed in Turbo Pascal in 1995 and it has since become a thing of legend. It'd only be a second to remake it though given what I know now... hrmmm... > Maely

Okay, I've played through all the stages with all 6 girls, and here's what I have to say about them all. [glow=Pink,2,300] Roll [/glow]Something tells me Wade likes Roll a teeny bit more than the others, as she seems very overpowered, at least until you remember that she's borrowing her brother's pet bird. Still, Beat whips most of the other girls in power, and his boss-killing dive attack is unstoppable (even Cyan's Magnetic Strike can be halted by hazards). Even though Beat loses Energy faster than any of the other girl's Specials, he can still put the hurt on with his buster. Roll herself is rather unassuming, but she can move fast on the ground with her dash. She's good for people who want to kill everything in their path, kinda like the pyromaniacal Wade (whose nature is probably why Roll plays like she does). [glow=Purple,2,300] Jazz [/glow]Much as I love her for being the cutest of all MMC fan-made fembots, Jazz is easily the weakest of the 6. While her Air Glide Boots are nice, they stall after roughly one second. If this stall was removed, she would be a much better defensive player, since as offensive character, she frankly stinks. -Her Cute Eyes, while fast, are extremely weak (at the very most they're as strong as Sin's flame shots, but I doubt it) & zig-zag in a wild trajectory that make it hard to make them connect. As a result, half of her shots won't hit their target outside of point-blank range, which means that Jazz will often wind up taking a lot of damage trying to kill even a simple Met. -Her Lovely Shots, while stronger than Cute Eyes, still take awhile to kill most of the heavy-duty enemies like the Hover Mech & the Big Bear. While the bear isn't much of a problem (you can just fire at it & it'll eventually die), the mech is designed to force you into its line of fire if you want basic weapons to hit, and a Special that can arc upwards is like gold. Jazz sadly fails to deliver, since you'll lose nearly half of your Energy when the stupid lug puts up his shield, blocking everything short of Cyan's guard-breaking blows. The shots that DO manage to hit are often still not enough to kill the mech, and you have to jump right up at it to shoot with Cute Eyes, and you'll almost always get a plasma fireball in the face when you start firing. Jazz may run faster & jump higher than average, but this slight agility is not quite enough to avoid some of the bad situations she can get into, like running into the Hover Mech on a slope (which keeps you from running under him) with no Energy & very little health. Now if her Air Glide was continuous, she could avoid most of the situations where she can't easily fight back, making her a better defensive character. Her Cute Eyes & Lovely Shots could use a little more power, too, if she was meant to be offensive. Either way, it would help make her a little more worthwhile to use. [glow=Cyan,2,300] Cyan [/glow]A combat robot built by Shaolin monks, the masters of Martial Arts... You know she has to be tough. And she is, by a fair margin. Cyan may have trouble with projectile-happy foes like the Dino Tanks & King Crab, but she can bust apart robots no matter what they pull trying to null damage (ie: she can punch through shields), and she can kill almost everything twice as fast as the other 5 girls. Her wall-climbing ability is good for getting away from psychotic Dino Tanks or hop-happy Mets, and her Special can tear a path through the baddies like nothing else, despite its hefty Energy cost. There are a few things that can give Cyan trouble, but those idiots are what her Special's for, anyway. Oddly enough, she's perhaps the best girl to fight Hover Mechs with besides Roll (PM me for the details). You'll need to be good at dodging with Cyan, but her good mobility can get her out of trouble at a decent clip. [glow=Yellow,2,300] Tami [/glow]Her armor allows her to keep on truckin' through just about anything that's thrown at her, and her saw can tear the big baddies up in a mere second. While her Fire Extinguisher is a tad weak, its range makes up for it very well (even though it won't cover the whole screen) & it can still wipe out the small fry before they can get off an attack if you time it right. Her Replusor burns through its fuel a wee bit too fast, but in most cases you won't have to fly far to get where you need to be, and the Dash meter refills over time, anyway. She's a good character for hunting down every nook & cranny in a stage for future reference. [glow=Gray,2,300] Shin [/glow]She's the sexiest (and by far the most dangerous) of all six girls, and she can move quicker than a professional cat burglar with the highest jump & fastest running speed of the group. Her Shield cuts damage inflicted down to 25% & almost totally eliminates recoil. Now that Wade's sped up her claw strike, she can kill anything that gets too close other than the Dino Tanks (which I'm starting to think Wade put in the game solely because they're the only things that can annoy all six girls), and her Nail Knives are perfect for taking out the Hover Mech. She's well-balanced in defense & offense, making her a good choice for beginners who want a decent challenge. [glow=Blue,2,300] KZ10 [/glow]Two words make this girl the best in the game: Riot Shield. This Dash-based item will ensure that you almost never take another hit from a projectile ever again, provided you give it time to recharge after running into such things as the Hover Mech, King Crab, or a herd of Dino Tanks. Her Taser Club is good for racking up damage, but her best item is her Spread Magnum: a decent fire rate & 3 shots for 1 makes KZ's little gun the best darn basic weapon in the game. Even though KZ is perfectly balanced in offense & defense like Shin, the balance occurs on a higher level than with Shin, making her an excellent choice for people who like to sit back & snipe their enemies from afar. The one glaring weakness KZ has is her shabby mobility compared to the rest of the group: she has no abilities that allow her to move faster through the levels & her basic mobility's only slightly above average. While this may seem like a loss -you'll have to take the long road more often than not & blast your way through the horde- remember that dead baddies equal money, and those who scramble over, around, and under their foes with the other 5 won't get as much moolah when they leave the stage. Plus the other girls will take a lot more damage overall than KZ. What Wade has achived with KZ is a perfectly balanced character that has the feel of one that's overpowered, yet isn't! I have absolutely no gripes with how she's designed at all. KZ10 is simply perfect! Roll: overpowered offensive Jazz: underpowered defensive Cyan: very offensive Tami: moderately balanced Shin: decent & balanced KZ10: perfect

Pretty good analysis there, GM. Mez have a few other notes/comments though.
- Roll: Though she hits hard and fast, the fact that you can't aim accurately with beat unless he's fully charged is a drawback making it tricky to fight flying foes quickly. - Jazz: Good at playing keep away from enemies and at getting past the stages without doing to much fighting. Once the powerups are implemented, Jazz's rapid fire will quickly spell doom. - Cyan: Her uppercut can pass hazards as long as the attack is occuring. If you end the uppercut in a hazard you'll get zapped. Plus she can punch through guarding enemies. - Shin: Her shield reduce the damage she takes by 75% and helps her recover from hits extremely fast.
======================
- The life/energy/dash meters are currently set to their maxes. In the actual game depending on what difficulty you're playing on you'll start with 1-4 hearts and depending on your outfit can gain 1 more. So abusing specials/dashes like Roll's beat and Kz10's shield'll be very difficult early on.
- Killing baddies, won't earn you $$$. So taking the hard road through stage sections has no merit whatsoever.
=====================
Status wise, I should have Julia's sprite done tonight and POSSIBLY in the game. I think I'll put the method to play her in the demo in Battle Pong... why?... since mezz evil and Battle Pong is Grrrrrrrrreat ^_^

Well, I'm not the guy who made the game, so I'm bound to miss a few things. And I already knew Cyan could punch through shields. That's part of why she's the best for dealing with the Hover Mech. But thanks for the info on Shin's Barrier. I'll put that up shortly.
And even if you decided to be a punk & force people to play Battle Pong, I can beat that. It's hard, but it's still fun.

Ah, sorry about that, Wade. It's just that I prefer in-game codes over interlocking games that don't have anything in common other than a creator. But you're the guy making the games. It's your call what happens. Your only limit is what the fans can tolerate in terms of difficulty (Immortal King Crab = intolerable, current Dino Tank AI = tolerable).
Again, sorry about being so critical.

GM: I agree with you mainly, except for 2 things. 1: Roll's special is powerful, but it can only hit a narrow "cone" 2. I played Jazz through all the stages, and although she can't fight, I've only had her glide run out inconveniently once. She can also glide over an enemy and blast from behind. 3rd, her hearts make a crude melee weapon. Overall, a skilled runner with moderate attack

The problem with the air-glide is that Wade nerfed it early on in the making of the game: Jazz used to be able to glide continuously, but then Wade started on his "demon programmer" kick again & threw in a 1-second stall.
And Wade has a point about the meters: they're at max value for Easy Difficulty right now, and Wade's said you'll only start out with 2 on the higher diffculties, which makes Jazz's weapon Energy & Dash power go away very quick.

Ultra Dinky Update >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> - The first sprites of Julia are available. Though most of'm still need a bit of work to make the animation look good (walking/climbing ones especially). I forgot to add the code into Battle Pong for it, so I'm just gonna post it... Hold down "ENTER" and then click on Roll in the character select screen. At the moment, Julia's using Beat like Roll but eventually I'll give her a kitty to use rather than beat. For those who feel like peeping it, it's only in the Normal version.
Once done, Julia's meant to be a cross between Roll and Shin's playstyles.
Also a very small update to the instructions to cover the 3 confirmed bonus characters and other characters in the game.

Julia's dash is 'Kitty Lift', which basically she's going to grab the kitties tail and be helicoptered around by it.
Julia's a friend from work who I told I'd put in a game as a going away present when she transferred to another dept.
