I was wondering what the stuff in the shop was... and Maelstormm is probably talking about playtesting it with enemies, so he probably hasn't updated yet. But still, I don't know what all the stuff in the shop is supposed to be...

Yeah, I haven't posted the baddy infested levels yet. I'm up to 4 now, and dear god is this game ruthless Once all of the stages are filled with baddies then I'll post the revised version. Until then, practice practice practice... because it's a whole different story with the baddies in the stages. It's not actually hard to beat the stages on Normal/Hard since you have the extra health bars & lives, but on Berserk and Hell on Earth you have to either be a master or be highly paranoid and creep along. The items full descriptions should be in the instructions link from the title screen. The 3 ball things are restorative items... Crusher Up, Energy Up, and Life Up. The 4 enhancements are Crusher+, Run+, Dash+, and Jump+. They just make you faster, jump higher, and charge your crusher faster.

Hrmmm... still not sure why the webpage version does that. I play it at home from the flash file itself on fullscreen (800x600) and it doesn't do it. It seems like when it's put into a webpage it slows down. I have a few workarounds in mind I can try.

Noooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I got through all the levels EXPECT from that accursed Final Level 4!!!(hate to image it with the baddies!) On that same level, why is that if you touch the walls that try to crash you, you die? And when you use Plauge's Crasher, can you still be killed by it? Plus, is there a certain order you have to beat the levels in, or is like the Capcom MM games?

More hrmmmm's... Hadn't tried to fly through the crushing wall part with Plague, guess I'll have to examine that a bit. I know if you stand right next to the crushing blocks they'll crush you. Sigh... at least I can edit things quickly with the code optimized. Good thing I did decide to upload the final levels.
The intended game order would be to first play the intro stage (separate game), then when this one starts you select your storyline and then you have your pick of the 8 maverick stages like normal Megaman Games. Then once all 8 of them are cleared, the final stages will be unlocked one by one as you beat'm. Once you get the code to unlock the hidden boss fights, they'll become selectable at any point on the map too.

Luffy : I don't mind if you post the "link" to it. Just not the swf file. Well, going against my usual habits again, I've posted the game with the baddies activated for the following bosses... [glow=red,10,300]Gorillon Thunder Gull Terra Drake Ram Knight Harbor Serpent.[/glow] Try it on 'Berserk' or 'Hell on Earth' ... if you dare... muwahahahahahaha!!! Now with the baddies on you can see how useful the crusher attack is (especially on the locked section in Ram Knight's stage... I bet some of you were wondering why that room was so small). You also have to earn your money now to purchase things in the shop. You earn money by killing baddies. So if you zip through the stages without fighting, then not only are you going to have the hell beat out of you, but you won't have crap for $$$ to have health items ready for the bosses. Now you can also start to see where the different character's strength's lie at (As best you can without the boss powerup's active yet outside of the demo).

man, you don't get much $ for beating enemies... probably get most of it from the Maverick bosses, I would expect. But man, Gorillon's stage isn't bad, but Thunder Gull... HOLY CRAP! I mean, jeez, the difficulty on that stage went up like crazy after the enemies got put in... and that was on normal...

Alrighty, 2 more stages join the fray... [glow=red,10,300]Volcano Drake Loco Leaper[/glow] Everyone will love that climbing part in Volcano Drake's stage now I still have some tweaks to make (such as the prob in Final stage 3 with the crushy blocks). I think I'm also going to add another 4 enhancement items, still not sure though. Christmas is getting close and it looks like I'm falling behind schedule (shocker). I guess if any 1 person can pull this off by the end of the year it'd be me though Update : I've balanced the baddy's a bit better and improved the payout rate for killing baddies. Also the last Maverick stage is done. So all 8 are infested now [glow=red,10,300]Tsunami Drake[/glow]

It'll be finished I'd imagine within a month at the most unless I need to do something critical. If all goes well it'll be done between Christmas to New Years.
All the stages are infested with baddies now. Get your practice in the final stages now, because I'm not going to leave'm to much longer since I don't want everyone getting warmup time on them. Onto the bosses now...
Luffy : Go play with the crushy walls now, they should splut you much better now and not show Plague favoritism ^_^

*has just finished the 3rd final stage....* OMFG!! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!?!?!? This game is shaping up pretty nicely and I believe that it will be EVEN BETTER than MMNext.......BUT STILL!! That 3rd final stage IS HELL!!! And if the baddies don't get you, the BLASTED CRUSHY WALLS WILL....But so far so good, other than THAT stage.

I guess they're doing their job then I sort of hoped the 4th final stage would've been harder than the 3rd though... oh well. Update : Okay, it's going to take longer than Christmas and probably New Years to finish this game... shouldn't be by to much though. While making the bosses it's requiring more than I thought for the AI and controls. If anybody wants to pay Gorillon a visit, he's at the end of his stage waiting to bring the 'Thunda and the Lightnin' down on yo a$$.

Heck, that first boss is easier using Delia's or Plague's Special attack......
Btw, is it just me or is Terra Drake's stage to freaking easy? Because I've gottenthrough that stage as Plague on Hard Mode, taking ONLY ONE HIT!!! And it was caused by the spikes at the end.......But the other stages ARE challenging enough except for Terra Drake's stage.

There's still plenty of room for tweaking on things. I just don't want it to be dreaful on Normal or Hard. If anything's way to easy try the high difficulties, they won't let you down I've also decided to lower the starting Weapon Energy for balancing reasons. Some stages/bosses are going to be easier for different characters & players. Delia can deflect Gorillon's spit attack, and Gorillon's not really a long distance fighter. Thunder Gull on the other hand is easier to fight with a shooting character since he can inflict insane damage (repeat INSANE DAMAGE) if you are close to him and not paying attention, especially when he's flying. Oh yeah, and Thunder Gull's playable now too. And if you didn't catch it, you do get the bosses powerups when they die. Now me go beddy-bye.... Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

DAMN!! I guess you WEREN'T kidding about Thunder Gull, not only does he fight better than Gorillion, but he also has that extra life bar, and the fact that you NERFED the special weapons bar, did NOT make easier, especially because I was playing as Plague But it's still coming along good. and I'm to thinking that this just might get you the daily feature at Newgrounds.......as long as there isn't something better....
