I do pretty well with the controls as they are. I just set them up like I do all my Sega Emulators. I guess after you play ROM's for some 5-6 years, you start to adapt to using a keyboard.
Oh, and keep up the good work, I'm looking forward to the finished version of Megaman X Next and of course... THE TRIUMPHENT RETURN OF RICKS ADVENTURES!

Good game, Wade. Harder than any of the other games you made. I'm still working on Final Level 4 in Berserk.

I see the finish line on this fella now. All bosses are done, and thus all major coding is done ^_^ I've got the majority of the cutscenes already drawn out ready to be colored. I think I'm going to have to scrap the password ideal I had, it's just to much work. So instead I'm gonna use a simple save feature. The password system may still be used for inputing cheat codes or something (I liked how MM2 & 3 did the passwords). The codes been tweaked some more for speed purposes. When you kill a flying baddy, they leave flying health items instead of falling health items. Overall I'd say it runs about 25% smoother than before. The filesize is still a low 2880k. ---====<<O>>====--- On the Rick's Adventure note : My new PC is running good and is getting closer to it's full potential (3gigs of DDR ram and aiming for 4). I'm getting the new models made for the 3D sections so the new PC can crank'm out 10x as fast. There's about 2 little movies & 3 big movies that will need to be made in the next 50 or so comics so that'll take a bit to produce.

I am thouroughly impressed. Though, I have come up with a glitch. I was fighting the Tsunami Drake and Terra Drake, both with X, and I had defeated them. Then, after thew blew up, X was killed by falling rocks/water. I had to do it over. I happened once with the Terra Drake and three times with the Tsunami Drake. I took a few pics of the Heros in Crusher mode, but I can't get the picture to work. Ah well. Mine to enjoy!

Geez, drawing nice cutscenes is a pain. Thank god my new shift at work is slow. If I'd do the cheesy ones like I did in MMN I'd be done already.
The status as of now is the Save/Load game feature works perfectly. The only thing I won't let you save is your money and health items, everything else including key config gets saved. The down side to this method is you can only save 1 game at a time. Eventually, maybe I can work out a way to make individual save files. All of the dialog for X/Zero's cutscenes are done. The ones for Delia are nearly ready. The coloring for the cutscenes is still pending.
I've decided there's going to be about 4 different versions of the game.
1) Normal Version (4.2mb, 8bit sound) 2) Weak Version (2.5mb, 8bit sound, less music, no BG's) 3) Mini Version (3mb, 8bit sound, less music) 4) Mega Version (11mb, w/32bit stereo sound!) -------------------------------------------------------------------- TheTantrum : Nah, that's not a glitch with the bosses. If you're trying to take screenshots and post'm you need to include a URL to where the picture is uploaded.

Whoever I put for the story bosses they equal one thing... pain. Loooooooots of pain. And a little bit.... errr.... make that several tons... of overkill on the side.
I can't wait to see how many people across the world manage to beat this thing on HoE, let alone the hidden bosses ^_^.

Sigma the final boss again? That's the least of my worries. Sigma may be pretty annoying in X4... but seriously, why would he put Sigma as the FINAL boss? Look at MMN. Wily WAS in there as a boss, but NOT the final one, so that's a good sign.

Well I just started to play this game again. The bosses are like "DIE FEEL OUR WRATH WE TAPE YOU ON WALL AND PUNCH PLUS KICK YOU TILL U DIE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH." That is bad enough. O well. Sorry I don't really play much too busy playing gunbound. ;D O ya, are you going to make the weaknesses, Wade?

hmm. Who is that girl that lies dead? Is that Alia or whoever in that intro person? Very cool and hurmorous intro. I kinda of agree that there would be nothing close to this game without Rick. Those are some good as ever intros and pics. If these are easy [glow=red,2,300]I CANT WAIT TO SEE PLAGUE'S INTRO[/glow] and maybe Sick and Sin's would be nice too. ;D

The girl on the ground bleeding is Jarrin from X and Zero's story. She's the one who is close to perfecting the cure for mavericks.
The other girl on the monitor in Delia's intro pics is Balandra (another of Ira's characters).
I guess the quality is okay, I still didn't take much time on them since there's like 80+ of'm to do.
Pics from Plague's and Sic/Sin's will be up shortly. I'm taking a day off work so I have a 3 day weekend. I intend to finish (or d**n near finish) this fella off.

- All 4 story's are playable now from beginning to end. - The boss weaknesses vs X are also working now. The only thing remaining to be done before I make it public is to finish the pictures for the cutscenes. If all goes according to plan then that'll happen tonight/tomorrow morning. rooster : I'm not stressing. I'm very laid back and easy going about this ^_^ Spend a hour or two killing berserk amounts of people in Drakengard, spend a few hours on the game, etc...

Haha! Me Double Post... I'm going to hades for it ^_^ Ahem... [glow=blue,5,300]IT'S READY[/glow] Actually only X/Zero and Delia's stories are ready. But they are uploaded for everyone to play in now ^_^. Things like the cheat codes and what not are still pending. Plague and Sic/Sin's stories will be available very soon. I intend to draw some more pictures for all of the story's but that'll wait until later. There's also still a few minor tweaks to be made and then I'll be able to make the seperate versions for the different systems. here's the new link... www.maelstormm.com/Games/MegamanXNext/RicksAdventure_MMXN.htmI'd also like to issue a reminder that I am an evil programmer, and this game will corner and kill you in no time at all on the later stages if you don't watch your behind. Also, to all of the playtesters for the final version, it's been taken down now since the real deal's out. Thanks for all of your help, and let me know how you would like to be mentioned in the credits (when they're done).

Hey Wade. I've been playing X and Zero's story for some time now, and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are still alot of bugs galore from when the demo was up.
Boss Death: I know you stated earlier that this wasn't a bug, but it sure as hell seems like it. Whenever the boss dies, and there is still a projectile in the room, you still take damage. That means that, say just as you kill the ever popular Terra Drake or Super Tank, you get hit by a missle or something. Guess what? You get to do it again. A Simple fix to this bug would be to make the character invincible once the boss goes boom.
Speed Bike Bug: Everyone now and agian, it seems like the third life most of the time, you instantly die right from the beginning. The only reason I can think of this happening is if the speeder levels are random, or their a continous loop. Eitehr way, I'm either smashing into a wall or falling into a pit the MOMENT the statge begins. Hell, I dont even see my sprite.
Numeral Bug: Every kind of number in this game. Lives, Money, Distance, all of it, does not work. For the first half of the game I didn't think I was making money because my money read 0, even after killing enemies. No cash. And for the speeder levels it's a pain because you dont know how much further you've got to go. So its just something that kinda needs to be fixed.
Impossible Jump: In the first final stage, during that big screen with all the moving platforms, it's about the third or fourth platform that there is an imposible jump. You have the platform moving up and down, a second platform moving left to right, and a third platform just to the right moving up and down. You can try to wall jump to it, but you fall off instantly seeing as the platform is so small. Trying to jump onto it from the side only results in you falling back down. The only way I've been able to get passed this is to do a speed jump off the top of first platform that moves a long ways up and down.
These are just a few bugs I wanted to point out, and think should be fixed soon.

Errm, found another, more serious, bug.
Save/Load Game Bug: I quit for awhile at the final stage 4 boss, and when I tried to re-load, I couldn't. Well, I could, but when I did, I could only select X, no Final Stages were open, and when I tried to enter a level, I got a gameover. Tried it again, Game Over. Again, Game Over, etc. So I pretty much get to start from scratch again.

Thanks for passing'm along. I used a flash obfuscator thing to make it so the game couldn't be decompiled easily, but it screwed up many of the variables names (megaStryke pointed it out to me earlier). Since then I've published it without being obfuscated. ness : * Boss Death : It's still not a glitch, you must dodge to the very bitter end. A bullet's still a bullet, even if the guy who shot it's dead. * Speed Bike : Still working on the speed bike one, I didn't see any point in holding up production anymore. It'll get fixed before I go spreading the word around the internet though ^_^ * Numeral Bug : This was because of the obfuscator (or however you spell it). I've played through the game after that and all of the numbers were correct. Apparently the obfuscator renames the variables to random things, but it doesn't update the variables associated with the dynamic text fields. Theft prevention and all, shame it doesn't work though * Impossible Jump : It's easy, but you have to get the timing just right. I'll have my method posted once the strategy guides done. * The Save/Load thing should be due to the obfuscator mentioned above. After removing the obfuscation, I selected Delia and played till final stage 2, then saved. When I reloaded the movie it worked fine. Good looking out ^_^

I DID IT! I Beat Berserk Difficulty with Delia! At 10:22 PM, March 30th, I did it! I hope I'm the first, and all I need now are those cheat codes to access the hidden bosses! I'd really like to get on those tables soon... A few comments on the game: A: I guessed all the heart tank locations correctly! Great hiding spots, I'd say. B: I don't know about you, but the difficulty of Tsunami Drake and the first fortress boss seemed to have been toned down. Nice changes to Thunder Gull. C: Delia seems to do a lot more damage since the update. D: The touch you made to Tsunami's level was really pretty. E: A strange bug I noticed, but in one room of Tsunami Drake's level (the last underwater one), I had zip for energy, yet when I went to other rooms it went back to its normal value. F: That final boss was GREAT! Really nice touch, though seems to pick on some of Delia's weaknesses (not gonna say which ones to prevent spoilers) G: The ending was very pretty, and I really liked it. It seems I'm the first to post victory on Berserk Difficulty, so I'm gonna guess I'm the first, so yay for me!
Great job, that's all I have to say. Oh, and since I did that, can I write a Strategy Guide for Delia now, since I've definitely achieved victory and know her story in and out?

Congrats on beating Berserk first of all, Pineappler ^_^
If you'd like to write a strategy guide for Delia that's fine by me. Just leave out any spoilers about the bosses. Email it to me when you're ready.
Also since you beat Berserk, send me the ending and I'll put you on the list of the first ones to beat the berserk mode.
PS: I'll check on the lifebar bug when I get home from work.
