That's not even funny, Wade. You just twisted the meaning of my post around to fit your taunt. I seriously doubt it would kill you to show SOME maturity around here.
Anyway, what happens is the ball just ignored my shots completely & then passed straight through the paddle on the first point. This forces you to fight against a 1-point handicap in favor of the AI. Thankfully, once the ball is returned to play, the ball will finally respond to the player's actions. If it didn't, I'd be MUCH more irritated right now, both with the game & your little "bright" idea of putting Roll Next codes into this game when they should be on the RN game file where they belong.
Again I am misinterpreted: I said that putting the EXTRA GAMES on other files would make sense. Doing the same thing to CHEAT CODES FOR THE MAIN GAME, however, makes no sense whatsoever to me: in-game codes (as in cheats placed in the game's engine by its creators & not those hacked in by a Gameshark or AR) should be placed on the game file they're made to be used for. Having to hunt down the codes in other games would kill the desire to find them, and thusly damage the game's replay value by a substantial margin.
< Doesn't kill my desire to find them. Besides, the extra characters are ONLY available to those who visit this site, and thus it ain't too hard to implement having you go through multiple files. That, and it also ain't hard to have two windows open at once. Finally, I think Wade isn't so sadistic that we'd have to hunt for the codes... since we're bothering to go to his site, he'll probably leave directions> -SM
If he was sick enough to take Anon's idiotic jab as far as he has, I would NOT put it past him to make earning the codes a chore that would give even YOU a head-splitting migraine.
<The only thing that can give me a splitting migraine is an Anopheles Mosquito. And again, you underestimate our boss. He was always seeking to make some big boss type side dude. He just used Anon's jab as a means to decide which enemy to superify. By no means was this whole thing started by Anon... it was all planned.> -SM

Then I can cart it off to Newgrounds and add in the code to play as Julia in the Roll Next Demo.
... that being mentioned, the code's only for playing as Julia in the Demo. Once finished, all codes for Roll Next will be in Roll Next or appropriate related plugins not a totally seperate game. At the moment though you're going to have to work if you wanna play as the bonus character(s).
I've beaten the computer many times without them scoring in the first volley, though I've seen the paddle thing a few times so it is definitely a bug. It seems to be more or less related to the ball's momentum not registering right more so than anything with the collision detection, because as mentioned before the ship and shot collision detections are the same for you and the baddy... literally.
Lastly, stop spazzing out and having conniption fits over things like this. And like SM said... quit blamming Anon/Nameless One/etc about the King Crab thing, I've already said that was pre-planned anyhow. He just gave me a baddy type to focus on.
Well DON'T use the Wave Cannon: I have yet to make it work against anything other than the Gatling Cannon. Actually, the Gatling Cannon is pretty d@mn good for a basic weapon, and if you fully expand your ship & get the Hyper Cannon, it becomes nigh-impossible for the ball to escape you.
**You are reading the 1000th post on this board! Yay for Wade!**

Wave cannon kills the up and down momentum of a ball... making it so it can't get around either you or the enemy... Basically its a defensive weapon to buy time while you get power ups. As for that eletro cannon(the one that has a green ball with an E on it that gives you a weapon that shoots those rings)... that is TOTAL crap in my opinion. Just plain can't aim with it.

in responce to reply 17, the ball goes right through you paddle on the first point of the first time you play the game. you can easily cause this bug to happen again by refreshing the window. might be somewheres in the initialization... that's the only thing that would be used only the first time. or maybe something in the #pragma once files, as they are used in C++.
