Well, from the demo and the intro stages, it looks like this game is gonna rock. I haven't ever been so involved in an internet game in my life. I've been playing the intro stage at least once a day since I found it, and have gotten to be extremely good... but as it's just the intro, I am guessing (and maybe even hoping) that it'll be much harder, to the caliber of Megaman Next. That was hard... but anyway, when the final version comes out, I'll be playing it a whole lot.

I'm glad you're getting your practice, because this one's going to equal and surpass Megaman Next. The "Hell on Earth" difficulty is going to start you with something like 1 life bar, 1/2 an energy bar, No crusher attacks, and No shopping for powerups/healing items. Fighting the final bosses in any of the 4 stories is going to be disgusting under those conditions But to make things even more amusing, if you beat the game on berserk it'll give you codes to use to unlock hidden fights against 2 secret bosses, which are going to be out of control nasty. Sometime in December's still looking like the release date

You know that mmnx is getting really good on the demo! Can you add a bottomless pit? Oh ya and if you press Insert Home and Page Up rapidly then press page down it looks like they all combined into plague.

Yeah, bottomless pits are already coded in like in the intro stage I'm designing stages right now. Gorillon will be first and probably up by tomorrow (Only the stage, not the baddies).

Well, one of the maverick stages is nearly done You can enter Gorillon's stage and run around now. I still need to get ahold of the rest of my graphics to fill in the void spots... work, work, work...

Whew. Thunder Gull, Terra Drake, and Ram Knight's stages are laid out and in the process of being coded in. PKing : it will fit on Newgrounds in some form or way The filesize is only 2600k with all stages (no sound or cutscenes) in it. I should easily be able to get below the 5 meg marker. The deluxe version, however, won't fit since I won't compress the songs as much.

Make sure to pile on the baddies when you put them in. I finished the Gorillon while holding the dash the entire way through without falling. And if a weakling like me can do that, any good player will blast through without some nasty suprises to slow him down.
But as hard as you made MMN, I'm sure you'll make MMXN a living hell for us little guys, ain't ya?

The overall speed seems to be set a little high, or is that just my connection? It makes the moving blocks more difficult but not impossible. Speaking of which, I noticed that those blocks move for just over a screenwidth; looks like baddies could just keep respawning if you stand on them for too long. Wait, should I really be telling Maelstormm how to make this game harder?

The game's purposely set to run fast, like Megaman Next was. It helps keep the hectic pressure on the player when they are dashing along and a baddy comes speeding at them.
However, baddies don't respawn in this game from screen scrolling while in a section. They will only repop if you leave the section then turn around and go back to it.

Wow... this is shaping up to be one heck of a game! And when these levels get their enemies it'll become even better! Hell, I anticipated where good enemy swarms could've come up at some points...
